The Factory Fastpitch Club would like to congratulate Riley Torgeson (2021 – OF/UTL) from The Factory 18U team on her recent commitment to continue her education and softball career at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.

Riley attends University City High School where she has lettered in softball and field hockey. Riley has been named to the San Diego Union-Tribune All Academic Team every year while playing both sports. Riley helped the UC field hockey team to an Eastern City League title in 2019 as one of the team’s leading scorers.  During the shortened 2020 softball season, Riley helped UC High advance to the Platinum Division Championship in the Cougar Classic where she batted over .400 for the tournament. Playing for The Factory since 14U she has consistently led her team in hitting, OPS and RBI’s.

When she visited UWP, Riley knew right away she wanted to head to the Midwest where she has family roots. At UWP she will start her career path in Sport Management and she cannot wait to play with her Ranger teammates in the very competitive GLIAC Division. Riley is looking forward to playing for Coach Ortman and the rest of the coaching staff on the UWP softball team.
