The EC Bullets California are proud to announce that Angelique “Thao” Schermerhorn has committed to continue her softball and academic career at Palomar College.

Thao is an excellent student athlete at Misa Mesa High School, where she has earned a 3.98 GPA. Thao has been a superstar athlete at Mira Mesa High School where she has been a 4 year varsity letter winner in both softball and basketball and a 2 year varsity letter winner in volleyball. She has played every position on the field for her high school softball team. She has also won numerous awards for her accomplishments including:

Freshmen year:

            ⁃          second team all league (softball)

Sophomore year:

            ⁃          first team all league (softball)

            ⁃          league champions (softball)

Junior year:

            ⁃          league champions (volleyball)

Senior year:

            ⁃          Mira Mesa High school scholar athlete of the year 2021

            ⁃          league champions (volleyball)

Thao has been a huge part of the success of the EC Bullets where she plays multiple positions and is a dynamic offensive player with the ability to slap and hit away as well as being a great base running threat. She recently helped her team to a top 20 finish at the prestigious TC/USA Nationals. In addition to being a great player, Thao is also a tremendous teammate.

Thao chose Palomar because it was a great fit for her, and her family. The Comets are a powerhouse in the CCCAA for softball. Thao is looking forward to helping the Comets and Coach Craft get back to the State Tournament and contend for a CCCAA title.
